tr3b shop manual
I think the Haynes manual is the best overall. The original Bentley is good also, but the diagrams are for RH drive cars. For a wiring diagram go to Advance Auto Wire and print the correct one out. I had a few problems using the one in the books on my "59.

Hi Dorien,
One thing I found extremely helpful when I did our TR3-A was coming to a TRA National Meet and spending a few hours looking at the cars in the show and speaking with their owners. Along with this and taking a lot of photos I was able to get our car to a level that we were very happy with.
I also bought quite a few books including Bill Piggott's book on TR's from Moss. Expensive but lots of good info that provides guidance along the way. Also use the TRA Judging guide as it really answers a lot of questions that you may have. This is not perfect as many of us still are debating small items but overall it is very helpful.
Best of luck with your 3B. Nice car!
Cheers,
Ray

I have some of the old Factory Workshop Manuals. These are the best resource I have found. I think 'reprints' of these are still available from some of the usual sources. I'd try The Roadster Factory first.

I am not currently a TR3 guy, but I am restoring a TR4 and have found that the most useful manual I have used for my restoration is in fact not a shop manual at all, but rather the official Triumph 20 TR 4 Sports Car Parts Catalogue. It has detailed graphics of just about every part.
Amazon currently has the Triumph "Sports Car 20 TR2, TR3 & TR3A Models Parts Catalogue". If you notice your dilemma is the title does not list the TR3B, but my guess is this Parts Catalogue would still be very helpful. A bit pricey at ~ $100, but if you look at the total cost of your restoration I would call it a good buy.
Believe it or not I have also found the MOSS Motors graphic helpful also.
As far as the Shop manual and the wiring diagrams, I always go with the official manufactures brand manuals when possible.
If I can not find one Official car brand manuals then my next choice is the Bentley manual. As I recall, back in the 1970s I used a Brooklands manual for my saab and that was a good one also. I am not sure they make a manual that covers the TR3B.
I agree with Ray on getting Piggot's book and the TRA restorers Guide, but remember the TRA guide is currently under revision so some info may change.

The TRA Guide is indeed under revision and admittedly at a rather slow pace.Much of it is my fault as I normally would have more time than most others to workon it an really want to get moving but many things have happened over the last year including the passing of my mother, two failed surgeries, and now a fairly involved estate to settle.Once i find a new home in MD (tricky for a paraplegic) and get settled in (assuming the upcoming surgeries succeed - if they don't there is no longer any hope) I'll be looking for something useful to do while essentially bedbound (again).
The current manualsare pretty good, given that new information has been uncovered in the years since they were compiled. Definately worth the DL.
As nice as the Bentley & Haynes manuals are,
neither has the correct wiring dia. for the TR3A & B.
Use the one from Advance auto wire (easy to read)
or
''Practical Hints for the maintenance of the Triumph TR3'' (more conventional plus has some good ideas).
This is a downloadable pdf.
