bulkhead carpet and sidescreen posts
Here's what should be an obvious question for many - on the early TR2s were the vertical bulkhead carpets(not the side kick panels) in the footwells glued or fitted with four snaps? Bill Lynn's guide says glued and I am pretty confident that this is correct. I have no holes in the panel for snaps. Don't want to go drilling or gluing without confirmation!
Another interesting one comes up regarding sidescreen posts. Some very early cars (possibly TS1 and 2) had the elongated slots for the screws countersunk for the screw heads attaching the wedges rather than the large countersunk round hole where the screw goes through. Anyone know when that stopped? Earl might be early enough to be in the range of the early type if they weren't strictly on the cars like 1 and 2 which had sidescreen frames of different dimensions. I wasn't even aware o the different posts until larry Learn told me of them having rebuilt the frames for TS1.
