Engine removal hardware
Does anyone have pictures of the standard engine removal hardware attached to the engine of TR3A's?
Thanks

That rear mount ought to be easy to make from the pic. Is it possible to get a better pic of the front one? Also, were these used on earlier cars also? Particularly late 2's and early 3's.
Thanks
Chris
They weren't fitted to the early cars. I guess S-T learned something :)
Chris, the rear eye is available from Moss, 838-550, $16.70. If you need the front one(Moss #838-540) I have a couple in my "parts" box. I'll give you one. Are you going to TRFs' Summer Party? BTW, I thought you had a concours car. Doesn't that have lifting eyes?
John is right about the early cars. When I got my TR4 #3559, it didn't have the rear eye.

John,
Can we define early cars? Sometimes it means early 2's and other times it refers to pre 60000 3A's.
Rich, I sent you a PM a couple of days ago. If you did nor recieve it, let me know.
Chris
Sorry, I didn't receive a PM regarding lifting hardware. My mother passed on Thursday and we were quite close. I might be able to find a Service Bulletin on the lifting hardware when I get a chance. I believe they were fitted prior to TS 60,000 but not too much earlier. I put them on my 3A TS30690L but wouldn't swear that they belonged there. I would think they came in later.
John- First and foremost, my condolences on your mothers passing.
Regarding lifting hardware, my car has a commission number roughly 45000 and it had the hardware in place.
Regards,
Randy
Thanks all for the info. Sounds like my '59 may, or not, have had the lifting hardware. Would not hurt to have it on. My '55 would not.
Chris
Thanks for your kind words Randy. She was a good friend and a good friend of TRA. I would put the hardware on your car.
