I think we have to wait until it is announced tonight after the general meeting, or was that last night? Could also be announced at the awards dinner.

I'm hoping for something closer. Something like Washington DC. I would love to display my car in front of one of the great buildings or monuments, do an auto cross around the reflecting pool and have a cookout welcome reception of the front lawn of the white house! Maybe the British Embassy could host the awards banquet and for a race track we could use the 495 ring road!!!!

We do have to wait; Event Coordinator Huddy elected to wait until the banquet tonight to give details beyond the fact that we 'have it covered'. I can tell you that the National Board will be running the show with some help from old hands, and that it will be somewhat near Asheville, NC. 6-PACK has been there before. It is a great venue.

Would a swiss TR3 be Concours if it had an alpine horn?

I'm into that.  If we get those Alpine Horns tuned to B-flat we can bring in the Highland Pipes.   That would be a celebration.

You know, this is the reason I never joined TRA.  I perceive it to be an East of the Mississippi organization.  I've never noticed you guys having events out West.  Don't our 2's, 3's and 4's count?

Teriann, you bring up a good point.  How can TRA reach out to the huge TR ownership in the US?

VTR is a model.  maybe joint annual gatherings?  Figure out how to add a early TR focus  to a TR gathering.  If VTR is willing maybe piggyback on some of their meets with some extra activities.

I just think TRA should be something other than a club for the North East quadrant of the US or an Ohio - Indiana club.

An event out west would be most welcome if a local center out there would be willing to host one. So far the furthest west we've been is Indiana, as there haven't been any west coast bids.

Hi Greg,

Would you like a deposit today???????

Last year I was #2 and my dear friends Doug and Cindy were #4 so of course that drove them
crazy. Somebody named Macy grabbed #1.... go figure?

Cheers,

John-

Sorry but I think my Houston club hosted the 2005 TRA - in Branson Missouri - so the Mississippi has been crossed, the next hurdle is getting past the continental divide!

This is where I get on my soapbox. TRA has Local Centers (Clubs) all over. West of the Mississippi we're in California, Ariz, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas. Here in the southeast, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida are represented. We have individual members in many other states, and they are probably affiliated with a local club.

Many in my Georgia club are still unaware of TRA inspite of my efforts. I suspect other clubs have the same problem.

How can we leverage these resources? Can someone put together a short piece suitable for inclusion in local club newsletters?  Something on 2011 would be usable, but I'd really like to have something promoting next years Annual. It's close enough to us to atract some new blood. Our newsletter editor would welcome something suitable.
